Hey Jedi, nice cat! Please tell me about the cat image. I'm thinking it's from the centre of an image taken with a wide angle and cropped but I'd like to know. It's an interesting perspective.

Thanks PC. the cat's name is Chippy, macho male ships cat who passed away a couple years ago. The picture was taken with a P&S camera during my birthday party on the marina docks in 2009. The lens is at wide angle but it isn't cropped. I did put some contrast and color back in that the sun had taken out… probably with Adobe Lightroom. Here's the full exif data for the picture:

Date Modified 2010-01-17 20:42:56

File Size 2.73 MB
Flash flash did not fire, auto mode
Exposure Bias 0 EV

Re: Any Photographers with DSLR's Around ?

Thanks for the info Jedi. That gives me some ideas ....

Chippy does look like he was an 'in your face' macho kinda guy, and his ears look like he survived a scrap or two as well.

He was His two most remarkable feats were attacking a pack of yard dogs in Trinidad (they ran yelping) and jumping ashore to play with a pit bull (jumping, being chased then reverse and chase the other etc.) in Curacao. That pit bull would come every day, waiting for Chippy to come out and play
