Re: Any Photographers with DSLR's Around ?

If it is for the Shutter-release button, hard to locate, a concave button or protrusion giving more feel would be an improvement, and the over sensitivity of the halfway position, the slightest movement of the finger, fatigue, can produce unwanted multiple pictures, I am happy with the result. Definitely not a fast camera.
Upgrading from the Pentax to the Nikon D7100 did not make much difference, returning to the Pentax does make a lot of differences.

The Pentax Optio 33WR is not bad either.
By the way the small pictures are zoom of the bigger pictures.

Re: Any Photographers with DSLR's Around ?

Good posts, guys. I was a press photographer, currently running Nikon D750 with 28mm to 70 and a 70 to 200 f2.8 lenses. Magic kit, can take well exposed pictures handheld by moonlight. Converting Canon 500mm mirror to Nikon mount (using extension rings). My images are at happysnap.us | photos by matthew king

Re: Any Photographers with DSLR's Around ?

I'm a photographer with a couple of DSLR's but no boat yet. I'm talking to a realtor about selling my house here in the midwest and retiring down south on a sailboat. It's always been a dream of mine.

I shoot Canon equipment and most of my work is with people, portraits, head shots, portfolios, etc. I have done some commercial print work as well as shooting for the Kansas City Chiefs for several years.

Awesome. Have you ever shot an f/2.8 lens? If you haven't, I would highly recommend renting one sometime and trying it out. The difference is incredible. I used to shoot for the NFL and shot a Canon 400mm f/2.8L lens that was provided by a sponsor. It's about a $12,000 lens now but they can rented by the day or extended periods.

Good luck.

Thank you,

These days I like to claim mountains light, on the boat I like water resistant equipment.
