Re: Any Photographers with DSLR's Around ?

Ok, these are not great pics, but our keels are quite different. We have a 2002 SO 43 DS; I understand you have a SO 40. Perspective perhaps? Nah, don't think so. I'd take the photos to PM but can't figure how to do that in short order.

My shot was taken with a very wide lens (probably at 10mm on a 1.6 crop sensor) and that I've shot from behind will greatly distort the view. The rudder is not bigger than the keel in real life The keels look similar with a family resemblance, but at the end of the day, they are still different boats and even with the same designer, he will make them differently

Prairie and Hoppy,

Looks like you're playing the game "I'll show you mine, if you show me yours."

Maybe we are

Another keel shot

My housing has a dome port which is needed for the half in, half out shots and I was hoping to make it work. I have noticed that this shot was taken at 18mm but 10mm probably would be better. Unfortunately there is no manual focus option on my UW housing and as you can see from the shot, the keel in focus and the rigging not.

Not sure how to get this working, but one thing for sure, I need to test it in dead calm water and a depth where I can stand so I can centre the water. So many other attempts were total misses

Some local boats moored on Kaneohe Bay, Oahu, taken yesterday with my new Nikon D7100, 16-80mm f/2.8-4 AF-S zoom. A circular polarizing filter really punches up the clouds.

And one more sunset from this evening. This time using the PhaseOne. I was able to recover an amazing amount of detail from the shadows

Re: Any Photographers with DSLR's Around ?

This isn't on par with the rest of the group, but I'll post one of my recent ones. Taken with a Pentax Kx with a Rokinon 8mm fisheye. Also, I've been slacking on the picture taking, first time I picked up the camera in over a year.
