How do I visit the USA for 6 months...visa requirements?

Martinique to Barbados is 104 nms after you have just dont 2,600 nms. You can do it on your ear.

And see an island not so many cruisers go to.

Its easiest too in that if the corruption endemic to the DR get to you you are stuck waiting for your visa.

You will miss every island you will not visit!!
On my experience the us virgin island are not a must go destination and Porto Rico is more a "land" destination and a easy flight from USA.
Vieque and culebra are beautifull..... Maybe a short unreported stop....
Dominican Republic is a good place as well as Bahamas. You will not regret the exchange.
