Deregistration in France

This topic is sure to be covered somewhere in the forums, but I haven't managed to find it.

We are in the process of buying a yacht in France and registering it in Australia. Have not yet discovered how to De-register in France. (Doubt the current owner will want to bother with that, and the broker is German...) Cannot find anything on the French registry website about DE-registering.

Anyone had to do this before? know where/how to get a de-registration form in France?

cheers

Re: Deregistration in France

i had my broker and attorney handle it.
i was told it may take 3+ months...and i still may need to go to france in person.

hasnt been an issue as far as obtaining zarpes and clearing in anywhere...i received a temp registration(where i will have it flagged) good for 6 months..

no worries (so far)
