Setee Foam question...

WinDancer, a 1993 First 265 has joined our family.

Topic: Settee Cushions.

I pulled all the cushions out of her, am washing the fabric in our tub - for the first time in 20 years I guess. The problem is with the foam, it is fairly dirty with dark edges where something seems have grown into the foam.

Can I simply put these foam items into the tub and stomp on them with soapy water? Will they dry some day?

If I opted to "re-foam", is this possible/practical ?

thanks,
Frank.

Re: Setee Foam question...

There is mold in your foam. I would get rid of it and the fabric too.

Re: Setee Foam question...

Be carefull! If you put those covers in the dryer they may shrink.
New foam can be bought at fabric or craft stores... Try Home : Shop | Joann.com to find a Jo-Ann Fabrics close to you. Or try to find an upholstery supply outlet for better grade foams.
