Hello folks,
I am restoring a Seamaster 27 motor cruiser. The (wheel) steering is vague when moving - not sure if this is normal or just that any previous craft that I've had have been tiller steered. My question is: what would be the likely effect of hanging a rudder from the transom in regard to improvement to steering? obviously, the transom would need strengthening and the present rudder locked in position. Ideas appreciated, thank you.
