Old edson pedestal throttle / shift levers

Hi
I need to make the levers that attach to the cables inside the pedestal & the handles on the outside. See highlighted in red in the picture.

Does anyone have any cad drawings / dimensions?

Obviously I can get the bore dia from the pedestal and my new handles, and pretty much guess the rest from photos like these.

I was wondering as well how they are prevented from moving in / out ( shown with double Aro ) is there a groove maybe?

Mine is a 1982 boat, and I guess original pedestal ( just a guess )

anyway, thanks for any help.

C-clips,on the shafts.
Cut the slot, size the clip.

Catalina Direct has the whole shooting match for sale as a retro-fit. You could try contacting them and see if they would sell only the pieces you need.

Contact Adam Cove at Edson 508-995-9711 or adam@edsonintl.com. He'll ask for diameter of pedestal head, steering shaft size and a few other questions. Does your wheel nut say Edson on it? Then you likely have Edson. They sell replacement kits but I've bought a few single pieces from them over the years to keep the cost down. Adam is very helpful. Edson Marine
If you have Merriman/Yacht Specialties you are faced with making your own unless you can find some second hand. If you have Cinkel it is likely disolving right before your eyes.

Cool runnings, was that the part I have highlighted or the actual handles you move? I already have some new handles ( from them actually! ) thanks either way

thanks 1canajun, do you have a photo? ( or could you take a photo? ) I need to go and measure up on the boat to make sure I'm getting the right levers. But I'd be keen to see what you have.

many thanks
