Oiled Veenered Plywood Deck Options?

Hi,
We have just purchased a older yacht with a veneered plywood deck to look like teak which would have been great in its heyday. We would be interested in options to repair the deck. Some of the veneer (plywood) has started to delaminate in a couple of small areas and the veneer strips are not flat or even ion most places.
The previous owner has applied liberal amounts of oil over the years to help the deck but now as the new owners we want to address the deck issues.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

Welcome to the forum. It sounds like your decking is at or near the end of its working life. With all that oil in the wood, even coating the deck with paint or resin sounds like a non-event. I would consider using the deck in its present condition while planning a deck replacement project.
Good luck.

Thanks folks for your welcome and feedback. A surveyor did say put up with it until ready to do something major such as expoxy resin or a artificial decking (such as the cork stuff). As i am inexperienced with this type of boat and construction I was just sounding out the forum from those more experienced. I now will leave it and plan for the "project" Thanks again for your advice.
