Oil lead in pan on 671 detroit diesel

I have a small oil leak on the side of the oil pan. There is no way to remove the pan, does anyone have an idea on how I can fix it.

How did the hole get there? If it is a pinhole, put a washer on a sheet metal screw and as mentioned, use JBweld or marine tex epoxy and just screw it into the hole. You can also do the same thing with a crack, epoxy a series of screws into the crack then cover them all with a coat of the stuff.

The main concern is if the pan is leaking because of internal corrosion, as painful as it may be the best option may be to figure out how to replace it if you are planning on spending time somewhere other than a marina all the time. If it was caused by a dent of some sort of blow I wouldn't be that concerned. If you can at least drop the pan to inspect the inside, either visually or by feel often you can get an idea of the condition.

Needless to say, to have a reliable epoxy bond the pan needs to be drained and then degreased pretty good first.

Additionally, for these kinds of repairs it is a good sign if the hole is on the side as most corrosion caused holes are on the bottom.

drain the oil to below the hole solvent off the area and then sand it to bright metal with 60 grit.

Yes, if you do the screw thing, be careful of the length as it might just line up with a crankshaft counterweight.

6/71 DD is a great engine.
Is pan leak at gasket or actually at side of pan?Pin-hole in pan?
An experienced welder could braise weld this in location.
Or JB will do trick in a pinch.Vibration will eventually shake it loose.
Obviously-disconnecting all and raising to pull pan for piece of mind would be best.
If it is side pan pin-hole,I would be quite suspect of how/why this developed !

Sorry if I am being redundant. Is it pan gasket leak or hole in the pan? If it's the latter, I'm afraid you are going to have to replace the pan no matter what the cost. Yes, you can do a fix on the immediate problem. It would probably be from rust and I'm be afraid of a catastrophic failure, probably at the worst possible time.
