Nylon Fuel Fitting

I purchased a nylon tee to tie into my boats fuel line. Should I be concerned with a reaction between the diesel and nylon fitting or will it be good to go?

Re: Nylon Fuel Fitting

Generally, Nylon is chemically compatible with Diesel Fuel, Hydraulic Oils, Methanol, Petroleum and Sodium Hydroxide.

Re: Nylon Fuel Fitting

I had thought that nylon eventually embrittled after petrochemical contact. No long-term issue there?

The brass tee's with hose ends are a little hard to come by unless I mail order. Home Depot had the nylon tee real cheap so I just thought I would give it a shot.
