New woddenboat project and no time to waste...

So, now that we delivered Anomaly, it's time for a blitzrestore on Happy Talk, the K-50 in our shop. Complete strip of the hull, fasteners from the Garboard turn to the waterline, wood work topside, paint and varnish. All to be done by August first so she can celebrate her fitieth at the Port Townsend Woodenboat Festival.
Here she is on day nine.

The boys stripped the bottom paint in 12 hours from start to finish after a 48 hour soak. Crazy....

Much further along as of today. More pictures soon.

What is it about the flow, and sweet harmony of the lines of a planked wooden boat.

Charlie, you deserve to sleep soundly at night

Hey Blue Stocking,
This is a "wodden boat." There is a great deal of difference because this one has double d's.
Charlie is working hard and it shows.
Charlie, Please send more photos as it progresses.
kind regards,

A full height enclosed workspace and a team who know what they are doing, with the tools to match?

In my book that's called cheating

But nonetheless am looking forward to seeing the "after" pics

The only time double-d is important is in a bra.
