Thank heavens it's a boat.

Imagine putting that much effort and skill into anything less sublime!

Forward cap rails are sanded and epoxy sealed, as well as the brow.

Thanks for posting, I read every bit of it each time you add to it. Looks like you are going to have the most beautiful Nauticat!

He will, too. So many hours...like uncountable. But the boat will be way better than new when done.

Okay Minaret,

How long to launch and freedom?

Best wishes from both of us,

Ann & Jim (I-2)

Wow. This boat is going to be incredible. Thanks for keeping us posted and treating us to the large amount of pictures. I think it takes me 2-3 minutes to add 6 pictures to a post.

It's all just so artistic. Makes me feel good just seeing it. Can't wait to see the finished master piece!

Just finishing details. Kids don't get out of school till mid June, we're letting them finish the school year before shoving off. For now, we will be home schooling through the Seattle school district. Their program is pretty amazing, and free!

You're welcome. It is a lot of work, but I think you can see I'm not too averse to that...

Ha! The temptation for me is to skip ahead and show you how she looks today, but nope; you'll have to wait. First you gotta see all the work it took to get there, lest someone else sees the end result and thinks its easy.

Oh trust me, having waded into the shallow end of the pool you've been swimming in I can certainly appreciate the level of effort and commitment this has all taken.

Lol! I'm over here swimming laps in the deep end! Might have been a few high dives too....

Beautiful, painstaking work.

Just one question: how much sandpaper has this project consumed (you can give your answer in acres if that is easier)?
