Mechanical Shaft Seal

I have an A.M.F.A. A88 pump (Italian Manufacturer) that needs a new mechanical shaft seal. In looking around it seems that you order them by the shaft diameter. So, for a 12mm shaft, there is a standard shaft seal?

This seems hard to believe, can someone confirm that?
