Just found these from earlier this month, With salon floor cleaned ready for paint... Before and after. I know it really doesn't matter when your covering the floor up with tanks and floor boards, but at lease I know its nice and shiny under there... Oh, and there is 40' of stainless chain that runs under the floor going through the limber holes... so if the holes get stopped up you just pull a few times back and forth to clean it up and the water will flow back to the bildge. Attached on both ends with wing nuts to keep it from banging around.

I love white paint in places that no one will ever see.

Neat trick with that bilge chain. And you get a spare piece of chain as a bonus!

Without the chain you would never be able to get back to the hole to clean it out... You would have to pull up the tanks and batteries and the day fuel tank. They run under all that stuff. When I removed the old day tank there was standing water filling one stringer section. Then it just flows over the top of the stringer and you have 8"'s of standing water to smell up things.. Limber chains are great as long as they don't bang around. I've been on to many that do, and when it's rough it sounds like the boats being beat by chains... And it literally is

My wife and I are in the middle of a keel up refit on our Bill Tripp designed Pearson Invicta. We are overwhelmed and our project is on a 38' boat!

Had to take a break and work on the other boat for a bit. I had some time over the past few days to construct drawers, and sort all that out. Here are the photos... Ill try to get upper cabinets and door built and uploaded here pretty soon.

worked on the starboard side nav station with a style and a few door builds, there was no doors below chart drawers, so I made 4 smaller doors for 2 sets of full extension drawers (yet to be built) one side for storage one side for laser printer... the larger door on the left will actually be under the desk. the nav station takes a L shape there coming back around the bulkhead.. computer storage and nav componets and electronic stuff that gets mounted out of the way will be mounted there... hopfully I will get to start working on upper galley cabinets this week

4 going to be weather gear">foul weather gear locker near companion way entrance.. still working on the layout, It has a large curved plywood base to ease entry to pilot birth and engine access down a narrow hall to the aft cabin.

Foul weather gear completed and starting on upper cabinet layout. Installed microwave cabinet and stove hood... I'll post pictures tomorrow... It's actually starting to look like a boat again.... Kinda

Fantastic job And you are efficient! But still a huge project. Keep those photos coming.

Have done some smaller internal enhancements to my boat, can't compete with your quality, however.

Currently at work on a similar major rebuild (including new engine and rig) - GULP!! On our new to us F&C44.- Also standing for too many years unloved.

Looking at your pics gives me great encouragement - just hope I can come up with equal craftsmanship and vision.

Don't forget to post more on the rest of your refit.

Ill have more to come pretty soon, finishing framing up the uppers this week and building doors for them.

Lucky for me my engine only had 100 hours on it when I bought the boat, and the rig is solid, Only have to work on the front furler that hit the travel lift and bent one of the aluminum pieces.

I am working with normal wood working tools for all this stuff also, no crazy complicated jigging going on. I don't really have any plans, it lays out in my head as I build it, Just trying to use all the available space up and still make it feel like a real home style kitchen (galley) whatever...

Thanks for taking the time to post. Great work. I've got the same project in front of me. Just finished installing a beta marine 50 and have the engine room in good shape. Been making these hatch trims for a couple of years. Just finished a prototype for another boat. Can't wait to install some in my Schucker project. Keep up the posting, it's very motivating. Chucks
