I has to pull everything out to fix the transmission anyway, so I've replaced it all with 1 1/2 hoses and fittings. I still may add the 2" pipes out the back, but I want to see how well this works out first -- should be at least a 50% improvement in flux already by going from an 1 1/4 to 1 1/2.

The ludders 33 assoc.has photos of a restoration(skip jack)and a page on "improvments" to the 33..I have a douglas 32 and it is similar in deck layout, as it was designed by Ted Brewer who worked with Ludders for many years.I have concerns about the deck drains on my boat.As one member stated that it collects dirt along the rail and it seems to get clogged also, is there any thing else to worry about other than the dirt collection? DVC
