Fuel tank vent fuel collector?

If it is it provides some volume for vented fuel to collect and drain back rather than spew out of the vent.

May have been installed to reduce vent spitting during filling. May also help to stop vent spitting when fuel is sloshing in a non baffled tank.

Where do the hoses go and come from?

Oh yeah??? Down in our bilge somewhere we have a Xfntght model 12 flux capacitor that I bought in a swap meet on Jupiter, and it looks JUST like that thing!

BTW, does anyone here on CF have an owners manual for that model? I can't work out how to hook it up...

Well it is fun, and I was hoping it was the dispenser for the secret (and full) 1,000 gallon rum tank.

Nice try, Scout, but if you look closely, that is just a REPLICA flux capacitor, and it doesn't look anything like the one in question. I think it is a hoax! Some dirty bastards will predate on us if we are not careful, and I bet that if I tried to operate mine following those instructions, there'd be hell to pay.
