3rd Party only INsurance from Australian company. Any ideas?

Oh woe is me that I am thrust into administration instead of salt in the face....

Who is good in Australia for 3rd Party Only insurance on a boat cruising internationally?

Any thoughts on price?

Thanks for your help!

Mark

Not a big difference...

Club Marine is a specialist marine insurer, possibly the largest in Australia.

If you look on their web page you will be able to get a quote, but it may need to be confirmed by their underwriters before getting cover.

The cost can be reduced if you elect not to receive their magazine.

My experience is that comprehensive cover for a low but realistic value is not that much more than third party only.

club marine are NOT noted for there "happy attitude " I have that on good authority from a great many friendly boat owners. They do not even reply if you fax them with a "different boat". Are you saying boracay that they insured your owner built boat ? As to the difference between 3rd party only the difference should be at least a third of full comprehensive. see European insurance rates.

edit PS...make sure that you look at there distance off shore rules....you may be surprised....

pps check out NZ....

You can inusre for the region and supplement with trip insurance as needed. Maybe something to consider?

Telephonic apparatus...

I have found Club Marine to be informative and cooperative on the phone.

They did seem not to like overvalued boats.
