2:1 ratio epoxy recommendations?

I don't like the calibrated pumps and find 4:1, 5:1 ratios a pain to mix. Can anyone recommend a 2:1 epoxy for general purpose?

Re: 2:1 ratio epoxy recommendations?

I've used 1:1 from Fiberglass Coatings Inc. https://www.fgci.com/products/44/Res...y/&Brand=Epoxy

I prefer to use West System epoxy and hardeners with their pumps. It couldn't be easier. One squirt of resin, one squirt of hardener. How hard is that? The pumps do all the math for you.

The pumps are fine for the shop, but make storing the epoxy on a boat messier.

Re: 2:1 ratio epoxy recommendations?

I've used almost 85 gallons of 2:1 Marinepoxy from bateau.com Three different hardeners. Very good laminating and all around epoxy.

I've used System Three and found it to be a good produce. For what it's worth.

Re: 2:1 ratio epoxy recommendations?

US Composites has a 2:1 mix, believe it's their "Fast" type. I use their "Medium" which is 3:1 and I like it a lot. The pumps make it a no brainer, but if you want to use cups to measure it's not that much harder. You can use whatever size cups you want, just make sure to count them correctly.

This is easy to overcome so you can use the best product. I use a plastic tote that stores my entire mobile WEST epoxy kit: pint resin with small slow hardener, pint of acetone, colloidal silica and micro fibers, 3oz Dixie cups, mixing sticks, syringes, spreader, 1" throw-away brushes and acid brushes, pigment. Under the pumps I store a plastic mixing cup to catch any drips.

Micro balloons I carry separately when needed. Likewise a gallon epoxy kit for larger projects.

Re: 2:1 ratio epoxy recommendations?

I am using Epi Resin.Which is essentially an Industrial grouting epoxy for my restoration project. The drums are 20 ltrs and a ratio of 3/1 is required .
To get this I use syringes .

Progressive Epoxy No Blush. I have used hundreds of gallons building boats.

The website is horrible, but the product is outstanding and priced very well in bulk.
