Yanmar 2qm confusion.

Hi,
Can anyone tell me what the difference is between a Yanmar 2qm15 and a Yanmar 2qm15G.

The reason I'm asking is because there seems to be a vast difference in the recommended prop size, according to the Yanmar specs.

Recommended prop size & pitch (Max)
2qm15 = 14" x 10" [360mm x 250mm]
2qm15G = 17" x 12.5" [430mm x 320mm]

Am I right in thinking the 2qm15G must have greater torque or a different ratio transmission?

Different ratio transmission.
2QM15 is 2.14
2QM15G is 2.83

Often just known as 2:1 or 3:1 gearbox

All other specs are the same.
