Re: What Diesel Engine repairs should one know how to do?

When your raw water impeller explodes, use a wet and dry vacuum cleaner to suck out the parts from the heat exchanger. Just stuff the vacuum tube into the rubber hose from the water pump. As long as the through hull is open, there is endless water to flush in the “opposite” direction. Remember to empty the vacuum cleaner tank before you start so you can count the pieces retrieved.
