Westerbeke Impeller

I have a westerbeke with the same type of sea water pump. My pump is a JABSCO. I might have the spelling wrong on the company name. I like the idea of a spare pump replacement. The pump runs around $180 U.S. I was thinking at one time of fabricating an extention for the bracket on the engine to which the pump attaches. I do not know if there is enough clearance for the pump pulley. I am not a machinist or a metal worker so fabricating anything out of metal would be a chore for me. My Westerbeke is a 1976 model 30. Parts for this engine are almost nonexistant.
