Slave jumps to WOT when Synchronizer switched on

2002 Sea Ray 420 Aft Cabin. Cummins 6CTAs.
All of a sudden the Glendinning synchro activates the slave engine to WOT as soon as power switch is turned on. Worked fine 3 days ago. Tachs seem to be working fine.Tried activating at different throttle positions but no change.
Tachs run off magnetic senders.
Any ideas where to start troubleshooting?

Re: Slave jumps to WOT when Synchronizer switched on

It was broken tach cable from slave engine to Glendinning module.

WOW....

If that doesn't show everybody the merits of CF NOTHING WILL....

You don't even need to get an answer... Just posting the question will work... Next time I have a problem... I'm simply going to just log in and see if it fixes itself....

Glad you had a simple fix Bassman! Thanks for posting the resolution!

Well, I did get a lot of help from a post to boatdiesel.com so it wasn't entirely magic!
