Need Help Identifying Westerbeke Block

Manifold plate says westerbeke W30.
But looking at brochures it looks like a w40.
Oil filter, injection pump are on port side. Raw waterpump is on port side and not belt driven.
Injectors are on port side between manifold and block.

Starter is on starboard side but its protruding along the block forward. (indicating a pre-1979 model w40).

Heat exchanger is aft on top of the flywheel housing.

I was able to get some numbers off the block.
Port side: B22 M6
and then further away near port aft mounting holes: BNW
Starboard side forward of the starter: MC25550 or O
Starboard side behind starter: PN371 1 2990 (not sure if the last 0 might be O)
Thanks

Torreson.com has all the manuals on line. You should be able to identify you motor from the exploded parts lists.

Marc,
were you able to see any of the block numbers on yours? What was their location?

Re: Need Help Identifying Westerbeke Block

We have a W30 and it has 3 cylinders that might help a W40 has 4 cylinders.

Re: Need Help Identifying Westerbeke Block

With 3 cylinders, you are probably talking about the new westerbeke 30. I am looking at an old engine, it has 4 cylinders. old w30 was formerly 4-91. Did perkins ever make 4-91?
Reason why I am asking is I'm looking to buy a used diesel. This one owner lists as W30 b/c thats what says on the manifold metal plate. But pics, and parts indicate is might be 4-107 or w40.
Block numbers are confusing the issue a bit.

Re: Need Help Identifying Westerbeke Block

So I was able to positively identify the head NW 37116500 which looks like its from a perkins 4.108 tractor.
block number was: MC2555O PN 37112990-1
so funny googling for 37112990-1 gives me a polish auction site for perkins 4.108.
manifold says
MODEL: Westerbeke 30
SERIAL: 519781EB810
P23L
I bought it .

Re: Need Help Identifying Westerbeke Block

Now that I had time to scrape 3 layers of paint from the injection pump mounting flange
ED 22432 U 519781 E
E-4108 family
D-4.108 model
22432 Parts List number
U - made in UK
519781 Serial number
E - 1978
So much for westerbeke 30.
