Re: Fuel line issue....

Yes, sail! Every time you sail yourself to of a difficult situation, you will feel reduced need to rely on others help and input; saves money too.

Re: Fuel line issue....

Made a temporary repair using 2 clamps and a piece of water line...
Thanks everyone for the suggestions and offers of help...
Turns out the fuel line was just the beginning.
We ended up with an exhaust problem too (the water muffler rusted thru and sprayed EVERYTHING)!
Limped back to Indiantown marina and are making permanent repairs.

Re: Fuel line issue....

I had anchored there before and had no issues....

Re: Fuel line issue....

Good you got it repaired and are safe. I've been give the advice to "just sail" before and it really is very condescending since those folks giving the advice have no clue about the conditions or the location.

Once sucked a fuel tank dry with all the junk in the bottom of the tank clogging the filters on a light wind day in a ferry lane. We just raised the sails and pretended to sail so the ferry wouldn't run over us while I worked feverishly below changing filters and bleeding the engine. Never fun when you can't really sail out of a dangerous situation.

Luckily I had another tank aboard.

kind regards,
