diesel fungicide; what quantity?

we have Starbrite Biodiesel fungicide and bactericide for diesel fuel, but it doesn't say in what proportion to add it. We have a 25 gallon tank. We are about to leave the boat for 6 months in very hot and humid Guatemala. Any ideas?

Talk to the manufacturer of your engine. No matter what it says on the label, it can be a really bad idea to "shock" the fuel. All the newly dead particulate can drop to the bottom of the tank and gather at your fuel pickup, and you'll suddenly be going through fuel filters like they were tissues in the flu season ... Diesels don't sneeeze, either. Fill their little noses up with gunk and they just stop running.

have you been having problems with algae here in tropics?? if not, dont bother--i have yet to add bio bor to my fuel here. no problem.

Evidently, 1 fl.oz StarBrite BIO DIESEL ADDITIVE treats 60 gallons of diesel fuel - hence about 5/8 of an ounce (0.4166 oz) for 25 gal.
