Simpson Cloud 10

Hi,
Does anyone have any experience with or insights into Simpson Cloud 10 cats? I have been a mono sailor for years but just starting to toy with the idea of a cat for my next boat.
Wondering if Cloud 10 cats are a reasonable sea boat or more for just protected waterways - not that I'm planning any significant ocean crossings, but would like to be able to cruise Australia wide without running too many unreasonable risks.
I guess the catch here is that my budget is limited, so while a larger or more modern cat would be nice that just isn't realistic - I'm weighing up an older cat like a Cloud 10 against newer 40 footish production monos.

No specific experience owning one, looked at it and a number of others back in 2000, seemed like a capable coastal cruiser. I think the main issue we had with most of the cats back then were the engines were mounted inside the cabins
(under bunks etc) and caused that awful rank oil/diesel smell. The 380 Lagoons, lightwaves etc and their ilk had separate engine compartments at the back, much nicer and easier to work on. (Outboard power such as on some Seawinds also remove this issue, but come with other advantages and disadvantages)
