Re: More late model cats coming out of charter? Time to rethink

I have seen good and bad ex-charter boats. And some very bad examples.
I would not want to own the bad or very bad examples. But how do you know? You can't see 5 years into the future.

It's easier and far less risky to just buy one of the many ex-charter boats. One can sort out the worst examples.

Owning a charter boat is pure business and shoul be treated as such.

Re: More late model cats coming out of charter? Time to rethink

In the process of finalizing my purchase of an ex charter boat in Seychelles. Flew there over the weekend. Got a professional surveyor to meet me and we went through the boat.

Hauled her out at my cost. Found some niggles that the company will repair.

So far the Sunsail/mooring manager there has gone out of his way to help me.

Hopefully will fetch my Leopard 40 in early May

How about a fully loaded Leopard 46, owners version, perfect condition, and many extras. Located in Sarasota.

Am looking at leopard 40 ex charter any drawbacks? How important is it to be able to beach a cat?
