Rethink of route Caribbean Victoria via Panama AND HAWAII

Hi
Need to do the final leg to get my boat from UK to west coast Canada. I had everything in place with an experienced delivery crew to do the 'delivery route'. The crew have had to cry off due to other work commitments.
So now looking at splitting into three legs and going St Lucia, Panama, Hawaii. Although longer this should be easier sailing, saves the windward mileage and goes round the north side of the Pacific high and give more chances for crew changes/re-supply
Looking for 1 or 2 crew for each leg or would still be interested in someone who wanted to do the whole route.

Sailing Plan
Arriving St Lucia about 21st Feb, depart for Panama by 1st week March
St Lucia Panama, about 10days (1,100 miles)
Panama Canal ???? Not done it before, information is up to 6 weeks
Leave Panama sometime in April for Hawaii, about 45 days
About 1 week stopover in Hawaii for R&R and provisions/crew change then leave early June
Should be home end of June/mid July.
Boat
32ft classic wooden cutter refitted for expedition sailing, Good safe sea boat but does not have modern space and amenities. See my profile for pic's
Me
Lat 50,s RYA Yachtmaster commercial, 20+ years sailing, nurse. Also see profile.
Cost
Min, pay your own food, travel & visas . If possible a contribution towards berthing and fuel would be appreciated
Experience
Must have some offshore sailing, capable of taking a watch on your own, safe and competent deck hand (panama canal!!), Bear in mind we could be at sea for up to 2 months, the pacific leg is 5000+ miles

Send PM if interested

Re: Rethink of route Caribbean Victoria via Panama AND HAWAII

It is wise decision to stop by Hawaii before sailing back to Canada.

This is a wonderful opportunity for someone has no schedule to meet. Good luck on finding the right crews whom are willing to pay for their own way. The last minute backs out by volunteer crews is common and most irritating. Be prepared to pay the professional crews to help out in short notice in a jam.

Deck hands and fenders are available at the Canal crossing fro a fee. You can post a note at the marina for volunteers to help the cross when you get to Colon. I would just hire an agent to ensure smooth crossing.

Good luck and fair winds.
