Re: Forward cockpit Schionning Design!

CONGRATULATIONS on the launch. The boat is beautiful.

I know you will enjoy your new ride! From personal experience I can say the next couple weeks will be nerve wracking with anticipation. Our semi custom cat launched 14 months ago. My wife is trimming the sails as I write this. Imagine a year from now flying up the coast on a perfect ocean day!

Re: Forward cockpit Schionning Design!

Im working on Pelagic Australis doing winter maintenance in Cape Town. Untethered came in last week and is berthed right next to us, so thats how I came across this thread.
Watched the mast go in and sails go up etc over the last couple of days. Lots of people working on finishing touches at the moment.
Looks like a fast cat, have fun sailing her!

Hah well you’ve seen her before I have I don’t think builders are checking email cause it’s been silence for 5 days. Maybe I should recruit some spies (or eventually give in and call them).

Here are some pics showing the interesting bits, mainly the fwd cockpit, saloon and aft cockpit entrance. Sorry angles aren't great. The dual doors for the fwd cockpit will have that mid-span between them removed and replaced with glass panels. The head is the furthest along The aft cockpit entrance is a large 5-fold door, so it can be completely opened up. The longeron and forebeam weren't in yet, but might be on the upcoming trip.

Very very nice. I love those lines and 2 berths is pretty much what we’re looking for in a cruising cat.

Great job!![emoji106]
