I meant British citizens and residents.

I have to correct myself, just found that the IOM does accept quite a big range of nationalities. This applies for the costly Part I, Part III needs IOM residency.

That is a relief

I am a South African citizen and my wife has a SA and British passport .... there is no cost difference with the Isle of Man if the yacht is registered in my name, her name or both of our names. However initial advice (through a broker) was that it would only be possible if the yacht was registered in her name (of which I am not averse too)

What is AFAIK ?

Re: Cost of an MMSI in Europe

(As Far As I Know , sorry)

IOM Part I is certainly an option for you (and for many of us), though the yearly £122 is more than e.g. Jersey.

They have a number of qualified nationalities, including citizens of Commonwealth countries.
