Charter a Bahia 46 or Leopard 45

I'm looking to book either a Bahia or Leopard next year in St. Maartin. We would have eight to nine people on board, half children. The Bahia costs about $1000 more per week. Last year I chartered a Jaguar 36 which sailed horribably. This year I chartered a FP Lavezzi which sailed really well.

My question is whether is is worth paying the extra grand for the Bahia. If it sails that much better I'd be all for it. Any of you have experience on both these boats?

I chartered both of these boats while doing my "research". The Bahia is a far better sailing performer based on my experience. If sailing performance is your only discriminator, choose the Bahia. But I recommend you compare other stuff like fridge capacities and type, water capacity, conveniences, etc. specific for a charter that may be worth compromising sailing performance, not to mention comparisons of the charter companies (if different) and the age of the boats.
