Re: Small Family Cruiser Sugestions

Check for Pullman berths, I've seen some on boats set up for racing. We like the two cabins we have.

Re: Small Family Cruiser Sugestions

There are the Beneteau 434's coming out of charter in the Caribbean. The four cabin version has two aft cabins then the main salon. forward of the main salon to starboard is the head and to port is a small cabin with bunks. forward of that is a standard V berth. They are about 100 K for a 2004 2005. Look on yachtworld or contact Moorings sales Look at sailing La Vagabond on youtube. I believe that is what they have. The bought it in the Med

Re: Small Family Cruiser Sugestions

I've always like the C&C41 (mid 1980's) because it has upper "pilot" berths in the main cabin, above the settees on both sides. Its a great spot for kids which combines privacy with easy supervision. In addition, there's a huge quarter berth and a huge vee cabin...and thats before you need to ask anyone to sleep on a settee in the main saloon. Here's a random one from the internet:

The mid 1970's S&S designed Nautor Swan 48 has these upper pilot berths as well. Plus it has an aft "owners cabin" with 2 quarter berths. I delivered this one across the atlantic:
