RAIDER 33 change of rudder?

Does someone has knowledge of making the skeg and rudder 4 to 5 inch shorter? of a Raider 33...?

Can't imagine a shorter rudder would bring you anything but a squirley boat. Bigger is better in keels and rudders. Call or email Cherubini. They built or designed that boat if memory serves.

I think Cherubini designed it Raider built it,I think...

Agreed. I can't see this being anything but a really bad idea. There are precious few boats out there that have skegs and rudders that are TOO BIG! Far more suffer the opposite problem, and you want to make it even worse.

I would think long and hard about this, and be absolutely CERTAIN that you know what you are doing, perhaps even consulting a naval architect, before proceeding.
