Newport 27

I am new to the forum.

I have a newport 27 sailboat.

I am looking to repowering with an outboard.

Any suggestions on minimum horsepower needed?

10-15hp should work,I would think

I had a 7.5 on my last 27 footer and thought it was just right. I have a 9.9 on my current 27 and if anything it's a little too big. Anything over 10 is just adding extra weight to the transom.
