Kelly-Peterson 44

I just returned from La Paz, where my boat is docked. Saw several KP 44s while down there. They are great cruisers and fairly fast too. Returning to Ensenada DeLa Paz, we were overtaken by a KP 44 named Avatar. While I readily concede that Shelly is a better sailor than me, she pulled away in 10-15knots, while I was doing 6+. Later I found out that her KP weighs 10-15k pounds less, which might have been a factor.
