Hull ID Numbers

I'm in the buying process on an Islander Freeport 36. Her HIN is XLY361530882F83. Her model year is 1983...(built in '82, I'm assuming) but what is her actual hull number? I'm thinking #153 but sailboatdata.com says only 150 were built, ending in 1984. Any thoughts?

Anything like the picture below (i.e. assuming the same way of doing it), it seems it was indeed built in 82, but that the model year is 1983 (WTF!?). If I'm reading it right, it could very well be number 53 as well.

It looks like you have to many numbers... Most Hull Numbers are twelve digits.

If you take the last four to be the date, then continue moving left.... it looks to me like hull #088 built in January 1983

That makes more sense than what I came up with.
