What kind of Sailboat is a Chick Magnet? One with a woman already on it. Solve that problem and it is like ants to a picnic.

Women (ahem) tend to prefer boats that are light and airy down below. In my experience, size always matters when it comes to the galley.
I understand that some women count spreaders, and refuse to date anyone without at least a three-spreader rig.

Re: What sailboat do you think is a Chick Magnet
Why would you want a woman to install down in a boat, anyway?
Couldn't you lay the down in the mattress yourself?

Re: What sailboat do you think is a Chick Magnet
I'd go with a full keeled, ketch-rigged, true bluewater cruiser with a skeg-hung rudder, windvane self-steering, narrow beam, plenty of handholds, simple 12V systems, preferably with an icebox, but if you have enough excess power from your wind gen get a refer. You should also consider a mirror for the ladies even though they are generally bad luck onboard.
If you ask to take a closer look at her stern-sheets and she says yes then you know she is a keeper.
Don't forget the parrot!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: What sailboat do you think is a Chick Magnet
A boat that has a kitchen not a galley,
Bathrooms not heads
And bedrooms not bunks.
The easiest way is to take your girl to a boat show and she will tell you what she likes. It's really quite simple. Women are amazing: They can take one look at a toilet and decide to hold on. For hours, days weeks and if necessary till divorce....

Re: What sailboat do you think is a Chick Magnet
something around 100' or so with a crew, large staterooms, a real dressing table, lots of hot water with a spa like shower, a hot tub, air conditioning, large screen TV, a full theater, ship wide sound system, large cockpit area with padded lounge chairs and cabana boys to fetch drinks, 24 hour room service (she doesn't rally even want to see the gallery as long as the food shows up when requested), electrical head that works just like the ones at home, telephone and intenet, room for lots and lots of shoes
I'm sure I'm missing a bunch of stuff, maybe the ladies will speak up.

A gal sees this (after counting the 3 spreaders, I am sure) ... goes forward to play the guitar ... gets stuck to the magnet every time.
Light, airy, clean, liquor, guitar, big cockpit, no musty smells, and your fabulous charm is all it takes.

Clean sheets, a head that works correctly, running water, no musty smells, and a place that is warm when it's cold out and cool when it's hot out.
