Happy the only thing you're forgetting in your case is they're supposed to be "willing"participants.

Your feet toward the cabin will be VERY impractical. What I and my wife do is to lift bent legs up in the air and rotate on our back. This assume that there is enough room overhead to do this. If not, some kind of overhead handle for pulling yourself out, and in.

My EX loved the forward v berth on our old Ingrid... Said the deck beams were the best footholds she ever experienced! Probably why she is an EX!

our Corbin 39 has the beam running quite forward and with the collision bulkhead taken up 3 ft. forward, that leaves quite a lot of room for two. I remove the filler piece in the aft center of the V-berth and it is easy to get and out by swinging your legs out over the side. it more resembles two twin beds joined at the foot. real comfy with a custom latex mattress
