Bob, I am a newbie to sailing but not as a parent.I am truly sorry to hear that news.As an older man; we do expect to be preceded by our children, so it is doubly painful. My prayers go out to you.

Bob, I am so very sorry for your loss. I see you posted in January that Spike was due to be married this year. I cannot believe how suddenly fate has turned. Life can be so unfair.

My limited time with Spike showed him to be a good, intelligent, witty young man, and a musician out of the mold of his father! I can only imagine your grief and sense of loss. My thoughts have many times turned to you since Judy sent the news. Life can sometimes be so unfair, without direction. My family grieves with yours. And yes, he was a beautiful young man both inside and out.
