Cat 2 Feeling

Hello there,
I'm looking at a couple of boats for sale. One is a Kirie Feeling 920.
This boat is classed as a cat 2. Does this only relate to racing ( which doesn't matter to me) and if need be, can a boat be upgraded to a cat 1 ?
Thank you in advance,
Cheers,
Al

Al, study carefully if you want to know the differences. There may also be a supplement, but this will start you off.

Hi Pete... think that applies only to commercially operated vessels.. the coding for mass produced 'Leisure vessels' is I believe less stringent and a lower standard.. much of which appears to hang upon having stickers everywhere.

Re: Cat 2 Feeling

Hi Guys, thanks for the replies. I have however put my sights elsewhere. Looked at a Jeanneau Symphonie 32 and looking at a Kalik 33 tomorrow. My apologies for taking your time but still gratefull. Any thoughts on the Jeanneau or Kalik would of course be welcome.
Cheers,
Al
