Re: cal cruising 35

The usual. Not enough time, money, place to work while living aboard, place to live while working aboard... Need a job where they pay me more but I don't have to show up.

Right now I have the engine (4-107) partly dismantled to correct an over heating problem. This turned into a major restoration of the externals, cooling system, exhaust, oil leaks, cleaning, painting, serpentine belt kit, spin on fuel filter conversion, fixed fire suppression with engine and blower shutdown, 6 system alarm panel, wiring cleanup. I have freshly painted valve covers, timing covers, and brackets on every horizontal surface. My girlfriend won't come see me anymore. Right now I'm on a parts hold waiting for a few gaskets and a new water pump with the correct shaft diameter for the serpentine pulley to come in. I still haven't fully decided where the new raw water strainer is going.
