Buying a sailboat from Tahiti and getting it to San Diego?

If the boat is in READY condition, then Im sure there are lot's of fine Capts who would do it for fare prices. The only thing is darn few boats are ready to go to sea for a sail like this !! Everything must be in GOOD condition,sails of good material and condition,engine must run flawlessly, same for any other engine driven items aboard ! The list go on and on !! Maybe a charter in the Islands, and buy a boat at home ?? just my 2 cents,

Any boat sitting at the dock waiting for the buyer is highly unlikely to be in ready-to-go condition. Not to say such a thing is not possible, only that I am yet to see the first one.

Add the minimum of a week to get her ready and there is no upper limit indeed.
