Teak alternative?

My beneteau 40cc has very little teak however the swimming platform on the stern has teak as the tread surface and it is pretty well worn out. Rather than replace it with teak again I would like to use something more durable and less expensive. Any suggestions.

Afromosia. Replaced a couple rungs on the swim ladder with it. How large of an area are you replacing?
