On my blog you have some information about them and I don't remember if I quoted steve about the boat: He has a Boreal 44 after having had a Mason 44 for many years and makes some interesting comparisons. He sailed extensively the Mason 44, crossed the atlantic on the Boreal and has been sailing around.
Simplifying, the Mason 44 is a good old voyage boat, the Boreal 44 is a good contemporary voyage boat, the difference (according to him) is huge, in sailing performance, sailing comfort, interior
space practicality and storages space.
Both designs are separated by several decades and the difference on overall performance is a true statement regarding voyage yacht design evolution and improvement.

. He is a very nice guy that will be happy to give you a lot of information about the boat.
