Re: Do you want your Yacht moved by a Professional?

Having crewed for Rupert on a Jeanneau 44 from Newport, RI to the Bahamas, I can attest to his character and professionalism. If you need your yacht delivered, Rupert is a consummate professional and will care for your vessel as well or better than most owners. I look forward to working with Rupert; he’s easy going but totally on top of every situation that arises.

Re: Do you want your Yacht moved by a Professional?

I am buying a Passport 40 in Nanny Cay Marina, Tortola, BVI and I need some help in getting her to Green Cove Springs, Florida. I have my 100 ton Master's License for sail and power, but I don't think single-handing up the NE Providence Channel is a good idea. Besides, I'm a bit rusty on sailing and can use the help. I am planning to go from May 2nd to ?? It should take about 10 days or so, weather permitting. Let me know if you would be available.

Regards,
Dave Jorgensen

Hi Davie
I have to say that I’m very interested in this voyage - but are you able to delay for a few days? I am overseas at this start of May returning on 9th May.

Rupert helped me move my Catalina30 from FL to Cancun two years ago. You will not be disappointed with his experience and knowledge.

Is there a per mile or per day rate?

Re: Do you want your Yacht moved by a Professional?

Good morning 'Chotu'

I have given much instruction at a fixed rate/hr but generally I charge by the day on longer passages for the following reasons:
Day rate: Because of the vagaries of the weather, most skippers
favor a rate/day concept. If a skipper were to work for a ‘flat fee’
and the weather became marginal, there are people who would
drive a boat hard through a storm with less regard for the well being
of the boat & crew, driven by the ‘fixed fee’ rather than shelter at
anchor or alongside, or take a more sheltered route.

Please PM me if you would like to discus a move you have in mind
Thank you

Rupert
