Re: Crew needed cali

I am interested. I am in the Bay Area, and a couple years ago made the reverse voyage in my boat, from LA to SF.

I'll need a little bit of notice to arrange time off work, and am not available the weekend of the 1st ( Windjammers race from SF to Santa Cruz ).

Possibly. I do have enough vacation time for that. Does he know where he wants to stop? Also, is this a boat he just bought, or has he had it for a while and sailed it before? I would want to be sure the boat is seaworthy before taking it out in the ocean. Is there any chance of a day sail with the two of you before the trip, or are you both currently in L.A.?

Re: Crew needed cali

PM sent with my phone number and email.

I am ASA certified through 106.

I bought a Morgan 382 in LA a few years ago and brought it up to Sausalito. Since then I have been prepping it for the Pacific Cup in 2018, and will be Cruising the Pacific after the race. I've sailed into and am familiar with Half Moon bay, Santa Cruz, and Monterey. Less familiar, but I stopped in Santa Barbara on the way up.

As mentioned before, I'll be sailing my boat in the Windjammers race this weekend, to Santa Cruz.

Why would he want to "stop every night"?
If sail through it should only take a few days. Does your boyfriend have an aversion to night sailing? If he has the proper safety gear it's no more dangerous than day sailing.

Re: Crew needed cali

Did you find crew or already leave? I've made that trip several times, usually all the way to Cabo. Might be willing to help depending in timing.
