It is not a part of Marocco. It is a territory occupied by Marocco. Sort of like Tibet and China
. The territory is still where it used to be when it was a Spanish colony.
You can be right about some Maroccans being quite happy about their king. But people in Tunisia
seemed very happy about their country when we asked them. And just look what came out of it.
There is much talk about possible unrest among Canary Islands' Maroccan population. But maybe this is just because they are migrants. Maybe people in Morocco are happy and not willing to start any trouble, as you said.
