Where is this spot in South Florida?

I have a tall list of requirements in a spot to stay put a couple months.

Can anyone suggest a spot anywhere from Stuart to Tampa that suits as many of these requirements as possible?

Note: I am doing an interior fit out and will be running table saws, circular saws and a generator in the early morning. Would probably need to be anchored to avoid death threats.

Need:

*Decent protection from weather (relatively small fetch) ...boat is nor ready for large seas to smash everything around... it's a construction site.
*Ethanol free fuel dock
*Taxi ride away from a whole foods
*Propane filling station
*Can receive packages or has shipping store very close by
*Cvs/Walgreen's close by
*Walmart within a taxi ride
*Shore access, ideally at a public dock or private marina I can pay to land at

I'm doing a lot more work than anyone else wandering around on boats and need a very convenient setup so as to get more done without wasting time. Running a company and doing a fit out simultaneously.

Any tips on a location?

Thanks

Thanks!

That's a pretty good one. Considering there is a whole foods right in Tampa, this meets the requirements if I just Uber over to Whole foods every couple weeks.

Looking forward to any more local knowledge as this one is as far away as it gets for me.

You didn't mention your draft.

This anchorage has many of those things and is located away from residential homes. It has a McDonald's that has a dock, Publix supermarket and there is the Madeira Beach Municipal Marina is across the GICW.

Google map this: 27°48'31.7"N 82°47'14.6"W

Sorry, I'm comfortable in 5-6 ft of water.

Lots of spots out west, huh?

Had been thinking of making the trek out there, but it's so many additional miles, given I have to be in the northeast usa in the spring.

Might be the way to go...

Check out Twin Dolphin Marina in Bradenton. Not sure about Whole Foods, but very convenient to everything else. Has Valvtect Fuel and at slip pumpouts. Gated as well.

Did you look in the Manatee Pocket in Port Salerno ? Lots of places to dock a dinghy, Walmart is not too far. I don't think there is a Whole Foods in Stuart. There are several good roadside vegetable stands, a farmers market, and a good grocery store called, Fresh Market The Fresh Market

We use the roadside vegetable stand on A1A, between Stuart and Port Salerno, lots of local produce, good prices, 10 grapefruit for a dollar ! Also a very good fish market in Port Salerno Taushas Seafood OUR STORY - TAUSHA'S SEAFOOD MARKET

Pinellas County you may have to move around a bit... not to get harassed. I cruise (on charter boats) in the area and the areas off of the ICW can get shallow quickly. Use Salty Southeast Cruiser's Net for the Google chart overlay and anchorages Cruisers’ Net Marine Map | Cruisers' Net. There is a Whole Foods in Clearwater and in Sarasota we have docked and walked to the Whole Foods.

Let me know if you need any additional information.

"2hullvenus" may be right on the noise issue. There are a lot of liveaboards at Twin Dolphin Marina who might not be too happy to be next door to a construction site?

Dinner Key Marina in Miami. Fresh Market is walking distance, Whole Foods is a cab ride. Everything nautical is within minutes. Lots of folks use bikes.

I did, it was wonderful.

Very crowded and quiet anchorage.

I ran my generator once all week and thought everyone was going to kill me.

Ideal in all other respects.

I have to admit this place has been looking great.

My only concern is there is no protection.

I'm working on the boat. Stuff is everywhere. It will fall and damage things.

Seems East winds are the norm around here. Huge fetch there for east winds. South winds have a fetch to Cuba

What's it like over therr in terms of not bouncing around?

Re: Where is this spot in South Florida??

Riviera beach marina. It's already a construction site and my neighbor is building his boat behind me. They seem fairly lenient about boat work but you do need to keep the dock cleaned up. Right next door is Crackerboy boat works. You can haul out and work in their yard. To the immediate south is Lake Worth lagoon and you can anchor out around the mooring field (we have a ball out there). No one is offended by your generator. The Palm Beach sail club welcomes transients and has a dinghy dock. We have done plenty of work around there but they do have some regattas and club stuff going on.

Just curious. What kind of business do you have that allows you to live on the boat? I am assuming you work remotely somehow?
