Video. Scotland to Norway in a 15' Dinghy

1964. Wayfarer dinghy, crew of two. Complete bare bones cruising.

The film is old in style and grainy but a truly interesting adventure. Brave or foolhardy? It was not a question asked back then.

Finally an answer to the "what's the smallest size of a bluewater boat?" question.

Re: Video. Scotland to Norway in a 15' Dinghy

I found that video because we have been restoring a similar type boat, a John Welsford navigator, to do some camp cruising in. It's kind of a step back in many ways from what I am used to with a boat, but it may also open up a new area of sailing for us and there is nothing wrong with that.
We are surrounded here by rivers and dams, as well as being close to the ocean, and figure that it would be nice to explore them in leisure and peace.
